She wanders, sings, strums a mountain dulcimer, and wields a mean flute...
...and takes pictures along the way...
Last night I sat on the couch for an hour practicing harmonies on a few Jaime Michaels songs, hoping to accompany him in his Whole Wheat Radio House Concert tonight. It was a bit hard to concentrate, since every 10 to 30 seconds, I’d use this electrified bug paddle to swipe at another indoor mosquito, some of which did taste my blood. I kept shaking off the dead onto the couch next to me. This is what it looked like towards the end. As I was trying to snap this photo, two more mosquitos flew into range and Are no more…
My great friend Katrina Scott-George looks just like she did when I met her at Penn State over 20 years ago… except for her toe. ;-) And when I met her she had a megaphone in hand, persuasively articulating to the PSU administration why they should divest from S. A song circle - just tealight for a fire. I like the open mellowness of Camp Nashbill, lead by the warm and wonderful Bill Nash. From left you see Eric Balkey, Chris Kokesh (from Misty River), R.J. Cowdery, Joe Crookston, and I think that’s Chris O’Brien on the edge.
Trading songs by the river in Kerrville, after a lovely swim. From left, Dana (?), Larry Zarella, Steve Bacon, Teresa Storch.
Jaime Michaels on the Kerrville Mainstage with Amelia K Spicer and Bill Nash. You can hear Jaime do a live-webcast Whole Wheat Radio house concert on June 28th.
